CIG Research Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction and Definitions
These terms and conditions ("Terms”) cover your participation in CIG Research, a market research service owned and run by Communications International Group Limited (registered in England & Wales; Company No 01241120) (VAT number GB 735 5539 15) whose registered address (and principal place of business) is at 239 Linen Hall, 162-168 Regent Street, London, W1B 5TB, United Kingdom and its subsidiary and associated group companies and services (trading under the name of “ CIG Research”) (hereinafter referred to as “CIG Research, “We”, “Our” or “Us”).
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and CIG Research. They govern your use of and participation in the CIG Research Programme(s). Please read them carefully and in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

In these Terms the following terms shall have the following meanings:

“Account” means the account required to access and/or use certain areas and features of Our Site and to enable Panellists to check and redeem Reward Points.

“Panellist” means any individual who registers and account to participate in CIG Research Programmes.

“Reward Points” are the points assigned to Panellists’ Accounts when the Panellist completes certain CIG Research Programmes.

“Panel” means all the Panellists registered or invited to take part in the CIG Research Programme(s).

“CIG Research Programme(s)” means the research programmes to be conducted by CIG Research to which Panellists may be invited to participate.

“Rewards” mean the vouchers, [goods] or services that Panellists can receive in exchange for Reward Points.

“Site” means the websites www.pharmacyresearch.questionpro.com or www.pharmacy-research.co.uk

2. Panellist Registration Requirements

2.1 Before being able to participate in the CIG Research Programme(s), you must register as a Panellist by providing accurate, complete and updated registration information as required on the Panellist registration form.

2.2 A Panellist may not
2.2.1 activate or use more than one Panellist Account;
2.2.2 use a name subject to rights of another person without authorisation from that person;
2.2.3 use a false or misleading name, address, or email address to activate or use a Panellist Account; or
2.2.4 present or supply false or misleading information to any entity involved in a CIG Research Programme.

2.3 The CIG Research Programme(s) are open only to legal residents of the UK who are Panellists. Each Panellist is limited to one Account.

2.4 Panellists must keep their registration information current at all times. Panellists may update their registration information by visiting the Profile section of their Account and amending the information as necessary.

2.5 An Account cannot be used or accessed by multiple persons. Any duplicate Accounts are subject to cancellation (at CIG Research’s absolute discretion), and all Reward Points attributable to both Accounts accumulated will be forfeited.

3. Panellist Termination

3.1 You understand and agree that your membership in the CIG Research Programme(s) is subject to and conditional upon the following:

3.1.1 Your continued adherence to these Terms and any future modifications thereto. Failure to follow these Terms constitute grounds for immediate termination of your membership of the Panel, without further notice, at CIG Research’s sole discretion. Termination of your membership will result in cancellation of all accumulated Reward Points and all rights of access and use granted to Panellists. In addition, Panellists whose Accounts have been terminated may not access the CIG Research Programme(s) or the member section of the Site, in any manner or for any reason.

3.1.2 CIG Research may, at its sole discretion, change, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the CIG Research Programme(s) and/or the Site at any time, including the availability of any service feature, links, sponsor, database, or Site content without notice, including, without limitation, should events beyond CIG Research’s control occur, such as: computer equipment or electronic data transmission failure, strikes, civil disturbances, acts of nature, terrorism or war. CIG Research may cancel the CIG Research Programme(s) (or any of them) at any time without notice or prior warning. CIG Research may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict any Panellist’s access to parts or all of the CIG Research Programme(s) and Site without notice or liability.

3.1.3 CIG Research reserves the right to periodically monitor a Panellist’s use of the CIG Research Programme(s) and may request at any time that a Panellist provide proof in order to verify the accuracy of the Account information provided by the Panellist at the time of registration or anytime thereafter.

3.1.4 Panellists may terminate their membership at any time by sending an email with the subject line "remove me" to [email protected].

3.1.5 CIG Research may, at its sole discretion, terminate or suspend any Panellist’s membership of the Panel and participation in the CIG Research Programme(s) including the cancellation of some or all of the Panellist’s accumulated Reward Points for any or no reason, including, without limitation, breach of these Terms or taking actions that are inconsistent with the intent of these Terms. CIG Research shall be the sole determiner in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms or intent of these Terms. Any decision CIG Research makes relating to termination or suspension of any Panellist’s Account (including the cancellation of Reward Points) shall be final and binding.

3.1.6 CIG Research may terminate any Panellist’s Account if a Panellist has been inactive in the CIG Research Programme(s) for a period of twenty four (24) months. A Panellist will be defined as inactive based upon the Panellist’s lack of Reward Points accrued or redeemed. When a Panellist’s Account has been terminated, all Reward Points earned shall be forfeited.

4. Accumulation of Reward Points

4.1 Once you have become a Panellist, you can begin earning Reward Points by undertaking various online activities. The activities that will allow you to earn Reward Points may change from time to time, in CIG Research’s sole discretion, and will be set forth either in these Terms or on the Site.

4.2 Subject to further notification the activities that will allow you to earn Reward Points are as follows:

4.2.1 Panellists may earn Reward Points by completing CIG Research Programme(s).

4.2.2 A Panellist may earn Reward Points by performing other activities on the Site which will be indicated within these Terms or explained elsewhere on the Site from time to time.
4.3 CIG Research reserves the right to suspend, terminate, revalue or modify, without liability, or notice to Panellists, all or part of the Reward Points value structure and offers.

4.4 CIG Research reserves the right to adjudicate all Reward Points discrepancies in its sole discretion, and Panellists agree to abide by any such adjudication.

4.5 Reward Points will be assigned to a Panellist’s Account balance within thirty (30) days of the CIG Research Programme(s) completion and will be available for redemption as soon as they are assigned to the Panellist’s Account. CIG Research takes reasonable care to ensure Reward Points are accurately assigned to Panellists’ Accounts, however, Panellists are responsible for ensuring that their Reward Points are properly assigned and CIG Research shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions which relate to Reward Points.

4.6 CIG Research will not transfer accumulated Reward Points between email addresses. If a Panellist wishes to use a new email address, they must redeem Reward Points using the old email address and no longer use that address for the CIG Research Programme(s).

4.7 Rules governing the method for earning Reward Points when a Panellist participates in special CIG Research Programme(s) are subject to the specific terms of that particular CIG Research Programme.

5. Point activities and values

5.1 Panellists may redeem Reward Points for gift certificates, or vouchers as described on the Site. Panellists can view their total number of Reward Points online by visiting the Members page of the site. The Members page is restricted to Panellists, and Panellists must enter their email address and password in order to view the Members page.

5.2 CIG Research may change or remove any of the Reward Points earning activities currently recognised, at any time, with or without notice or liability to Panellists.

5.3 Panellists cannot under any circumstances sell, transfer, or assign their Reward Points to any other person, without CIG Research’s written permission.

6. Reward Points Redemption

6.1 Panellists can redeem Reward Points at any time. All Reward Points must be redeemed online. To redeem Reward Points, Panellists must visit their members page. The value of a selected reward cannot exceed the number of Reward Points in the Panellist’s Account. Selecting a reward of lesser value is permitted, and any unused Reward Points will remain in the Panellist’s Account for future use. CIG Research reserves the right (without liability) to change voucher and gift certificate offers on its Site at its absolute discretion and without notifying Panellists .

6.2 You will not be able to redeem Reward Points for a Reward if you have insufficient Reward Points for such Reward.

6.3 Any Rewards received as a result of redemption of Reward Points may not be exchanged, returned or redeemed for cash.

6.4 Reward Points are non-negotiable and may only be redeemed through CIG Research in exchange for Rewards. Once a Panellist redeems Reward Points, the appropriate number of Reward Points will be deducted from the Panellist’s Account.

6.5 Any Reward Points that are not redeemed within two (2) years after such Reward Points were assigned to the Panellist’s Account will expire and no longer be valid. CIG Research reserves the right to modify at any time the number of Reward Points required to redeem any item or to participate in any activity.

6.6 Panellists may not transfer or assign to any other person or permit anyone to make use of their membership in the CIG Research Programme(s), accumulated Reward Points, privileges, or access to the Site.

6.7 Other Point redemption methods may be added or substituted in the future at CIG Research’s sole discretion.

7. General

7.1 Panellists are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and any other access information. CIG Research has no control over the Internet and cannot prevent the interception of messages by unauthorised parties or guarantee that such unauthorised parties may not be able to decrypt encrypted messages. Accordingly, under no circumstances will CIG Research be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any Panellist as the result of unauthorised interception or decryption of information transmitted to or by CIG Research. Panellists must immediately notify CIG Research of any known or suspected unauthorised use(s) of a Panellist’s Account, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorised disclosure of the Panellist’s password or access information.

7.2 Each Panellist is responsible for all usage and activity on their Account, including use of the Account by any third party (which is prohibited), whether or not such use is authorised by the Panellist or the result of the Panellist authorising a third party to use Panellist’s username and password.

7.3 Each Panellist agrees not to abuse the CIG Research Programme(s) by conduct which is detrimental to the interests of CIG Research, including without limitation attempting to accumulate Reward Points or redeem Reward Points in a manner that is in breach of or inconsistent with these Terms. Without limitation to the foregoing, Panellists shall not:
7.3.1 activate or use more than one Account;
7.3.2 use an automated system, device or programme or other similar method to accumulate Reward Points;
7.3.3 manipulate or interfere with the CIG Research Programme(s) or any affiliated programmes in any way to wrongly accumulate or redeem Reward Points;
7.3.4 present false or misleading information to CIG Research;
7.3.5 use or redeem Reward Points which are obtained in violation of these Terms or which are erroneously credited to a Panellist’s Account; or
7.3.6 assist another individual or entity in conducting fraudulent, abusive, manipulative or illegal activity. Any Panellist suspected of engaging in any fraudulent, abusive, manipulative or illegal activity may have their Account terminated and all Reward Points cancelled in CIG Research’s sole discretion, and the Panellist may be referred to appropriate law enforcement agencies if such action is deemed warranted by CIG Research.

7.4 Panellists must not do any of the following:
7.4.1 restrict or inhibit any other Panellist from enjoying the CIG Research Programme(s) or the Site;
7.4.2 send messages that contain viruses, worms or any other destructive element;
7.4.3 send messages that are libellous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful; or
7.4.4 interfere with or infringe the copyrights, trademarks, service marks, logos or confidential information of others.

7.5 Panellists may only access those areas of the Site specifically made available to Panellists and under no circumstances are Panellists permitted to use or attempt to use the Site or any area thereof to violate its security or the security of systems accessible through it.

7.6 The CIG Research Programme(s), services, Rewards, offers and activities are void where prohibited by law.

7.7 Settlement of any tax liability related to accumulation and redemption of Reward Points is solely the responsibility of the Panellist.

7.8 Personal non-public data and information that We gather from you in connection with the CIG Research Programme(s) or otherwise will be governed by Our Privacy Policy.
7.9 You agree to indemnify, and hold CIG Research indemnified, on demand in relation to any liability, loss, expense, claim, damage or cost it may suffer or incur directly, or indirectly, arising from your breach of, or failure to comply with, any obligation set out in Terms 7.1 to 7.5 above.

8. Disclaimer
CIG Research is not responsible for unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; online failures; hardware, software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting or corrupting the CIG Research Programme(s) in any manner including without limitation, receipt of redemption requests or a Panellists’ ability to participate in the CIG Research Programme(s). CIG Research is also not responsible for any damage to any Panellist’s computer occasioned by participation in the CIG Research Programme(s) or downloading of any information necessary to participate in the CIG Research Programme(s).

9. Liability
9.1 CIG Research, its clients, and their respective advisors shall have no liability for claims, liabilities , costs or actions of any kind whatsoever nor for any damages or losses to companies, persons and property which may arise directly or indirectly from their registration or participation in CIG Research Programme(s).
9.2 Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as excluding or limiting the liability of CIG Research or its group companies for death or personal injury caused by its negligence nor for any other liability which cannot be excluded by English law.
10 Policy Changes
CIG Research reserves the right to modify these Terms, so it is important to check them periodically. Continued use of the Site and participation in the CIG Research Programme(s) is considered acceptance of these Terms and any modified terms included therein.
